Does your child wake up before the alarm clock? If your answer is yes then there is nothing to worry about. This is indeed a good sign he or she is getting adequate sleep. It’s the opposite that’s concerning. You shouldn’t be dragging your kids out of bed for school every morning.

As your child prepares for his first Dubai nursery, Inadequate sleep is a frequent problem that worsens leading to tired kids and tired parents. This is an unhealthy combination that can have grave consequences at times. If your child is sleep-deprived, it will not only affect their daily schedule but you’ll notice a significant difference in their behavior.

How Much Sleep Does A Child Need?

School-going children, between the ages of 5 to 12 years, need 9 to 12 hours of sleep each night. However, many children get approximately 7 to 8 hours per night. Experts believe that sleep deprivation is connected to mood swings and reduced cognitive function, including concentration difficulties, lower test scores, and a drop in overall school performance. Poor sleep also is related to an unhealthy diet and obesity.
